USS wins the award for Innovation at the CMG Awards

We are delighted to win the Cornwall Manufacturing Group Innovation/Improvement Project of the Year Award 2019.

James Williams, Director at Unmanned Survey Solutions, said: “We are over the moon to win this award with our Inception Class MKII Unmanned Surface Vessel. We had funding from Marine-i and the European Regional Development Fund (EDRF) to enable us to push the boundaries of marine innovation in Cornwall, with our modular and highly versatile USV’s.

“The team here have worked extremely hard to bring this innovative USV product to international markets. As a result, we’ve made sales to Norway, the Middle East and the Canadian Arctic.”

The Cornwall Manufacturers Group Awards celebrate the very best manufacturing talent in the county. Business leaders, exporters, apprentices, community projects and innovations are celebrated at the special awards event which was held at the Atlantic Hotel in Newquay on 31^st October 2019.
